When Fascism Came to America

2010: California passes Prop 19, the Justice Department sues the state.

2011: Attacks by the Mexican Drug Cartels on American border towns become increasingly more violent and more frequent.

October 2011: The Tijuana Cartel ambushes 20 police officers during a drug bust in Los Angeles. The raid escalates as the LAPD sends in back up to surviving officers eventually resulting in the death of some 377 civilians and over 100 police officers.

2012: Riding on a sudden wave of support, and capitalizing on the Los Angeles Massacre, Sarah Palin and the Tea Party take control of the Presidency and Congress in the
elections.

This is the first in a series I am doing entitled "Wrapped in the Flag and Carrying a Cross." I am exploring the idea of what a fascist regime would look like in the United States and how it might come to power.

I am not advocating for such a regime, this is just a thought experiment.
