Description

Ok, this is probably way too optimistic, but having been keeping an eye on the growing movement in the Middle East, and having paid attention to the sentiments of the people leading these movements (I was very skeptical that these uprisings would lead to anything other than new dictators, and I partly am still), I fell I am permitted to at the very least offer what I think, might be the future for the Arab world.

BACK STORYt: Following the ousting of Mummar Qaddafi by the Libyan people in April of 2011, after an extensive NATO led air and naval campaign, a new era of friendship begins to form between the Arab world and the West.

By 2015 most of North Africa and the Middle Easter have experienced a wave of, often peaceful, revolutions, leading to new democratic regimes. The most shocking outcome of this is the 2015 Cairo Peace Talks, that leads to the creation of a Palestinian state, and an official end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. One of the conditions of the talks is the bringing of its major participants into NATO, to administer economic aid to Palestine in the hopes of preventing further reliance on extremist groups and a restart of the conflict.

In the early 2020s, a radical Islamic movement in western Turkey takes hold of the country, and NATO deploys peace keepers to the area under the leadership of Secretary General Mahmoud Jalil . Turkey is broken up and the western portion is eventually re-admitted with the remainder of the Arab world.

With rising Sea Levels displacing millions in West Africa, NATO forces are deployed to relocate millions of refugees to the long disputed strip of Western Sahara. Economic aid is provided to establish a new nation for the refugees. NATO's West African Relocation Committee is awarded the Nobel Peace Price.
