My Bio

I'm an actual rocket scientist (Aerospace Engineer), but when I'm not doing that I'm making maps and flags of worlds that never were and have yet to be. If you like what you see here, check out my wikia of the Second Renaissance, a sci-fi worldbuilding project I've been working on for the last few years.

Wow, didn't even make it a full week before I needed to post an addendum to this: So, I've long held that Overturning Roe is going to hurt Republicans more than most people seem to appreciate, and yesterday the party has only made me more sure of that assessment. The conservative led Arizona State Supreme Court upheld that an 1864 abortion ban is still law, banning ALL abortion save for when the life of the mother is in jeopardy. Thus, Arizona is now organizing a vote to enshrine abortion rights into the state constitution this fall, and in effect, guaranteed high Democratic turnout in November.

Election Update

4 min read
Joe Liberman is dead, and his co-founder at No Labels has announced that they will not field a candidate, and that he personally will be voting for Joe Biden. Robert Kennedy Jr. remains on the ballot in all of 3 states (Hawaii, New Hampshire, and Utah) and has only made an effort to gain ballot access in six more states. Cornell West's campaign is essentially dead, with him appearing on the ballot in only three states (South Carolina, Oregon, and Alaska) and having made hardly any effort to expand his own ballot access. Jill Stein is attempting another run for the Green Party nomination, but her only activity has almost completely dried up much like West's. Trump has secured his party's nomination with barely a fight from Haley or DeSantis, despite the Press all but inventing their viability as candidates. And Joe Biden's strongest source of opposition is from a tiny minority of anti-war democrats voting "None of the Above" in the primary, usually with public statements that they have

This is a good bit of analysis from Zeihan about the use of drone swarm tactics in Ukraine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibja8YSWaFw

So... Israel and Iran looks like they're increasingly about to start a war with one another, and alot of folks I listen to or pay attention to tends to believe that the US will get dragged into the resulting conflict and point to the ongoing clusterfuck in Gaza as a reason why (and typically referring to it as the Genocide in Gaza) Biden will ultimately join Israel in this war.

What do you suppose will happen? That the US won't get involved and stay true to what they have been saying for days regarding this and forced Israel to effectively fight a war they started by themselves or do you suppose the US does get involved and conforming the beliefs of the pro-palestine/anti-war left?

You know, reading your posts and comments about cultivated meats and meats created from those bioengineered algae-turned proteins makes me wonder. Do butchers and butcher shops still exist in the future, perhaps not to provide meats but to provide like unique cuts of meats and varieties not see in supermarkets? Or are they all went out of business a long time ago, extinct, and confined to history?

iran is expected to strike israel over the consulate bombing in 24- 48 hours, if they do, and israel then strikes iran starting a regional war that could drag the US in, what do you think that does to bidens election chances, if anything?

Probably not much, since Republicans even now are more hawkish on Iran than Democrats

Looks like that's underway, Iran launched a bunch of drones and they'll reach their targets in a few hours. Though I suspect Iron Dome will get rid of most of them.

How shit is life for the Kurds under the Turkish Sphere in the future?

Its bad. The Turks engage in forced relocations of Kurds just as they do Armenians.
